
New Delhi: There is news of relief for Delhi facing the second wave of Corona. In the last 24 hours, there have been 4,524 new cases of corona infection. This is the lowest case since April 5. On April 5, 3,548 new cases of infection were registered.
According to the data released by the Delhi Health Department at around 5 pm, 340 patients have died in the last 24 hours. At this same time, 10,918 patients have been cured. The rate of infection in the city has reached 8.42 percent.
So far, 13,98,391 people have been infected with corona and out of these 13,20,496 patients have been cured. 21,846 patients have died and 56,049 people are undergoing treatment at this time.
In Delhi, about 70,000 people have been infected with Corona in the last week and 91,500 people have been recovered. There were 6456 new cases of the Coronavirus in the national capital on Sunday. Earlier, 6,430 cases were reported on Saturday, 8,506 on Friday, 10,489 on Thursday, 13,287 on Wednesday, 12,481 on Tuesday, and 12,651 on Monday.
To break the Corona chain, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal Sunday announced the extension of the applicable lockdown period in the national capital by another week. He said that the success so far achieved in dealing with infection cannot be watered down.
The lockdown was implemented in Delhi on 19 April and extended its term for the fourth time. The lockdown will remain in force till the morning of May 24 in the national capital.
