Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday's much-awaited film 'Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh' has hit theaters on 18 April. Before the release, a special screening was held for Bollywood celebrities, where Akshay Kumar made an emotional appeal to the fans. This film tells the story of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre on 13 April 1919, one of the most painful pages of Indian history. Let's know what Akshay said about this film.

Talking to the media, Akshay Kumar said, "When you come to watch this film, do not skip the beginning at all. This is one of my most important films. The first 10 minutes are the heart of this film. I am sure this story will reach your heart. Those who decide to watch this film will know that this film has come at the right time."

Earlier, during another screening in Delhi, Akshay had made another special request to the audience. He said, "I request all of you to keep your phones in your pockets and listen to every dialogue of the film carefully. It means a lot to us. If you check Instagram in the middle of the film, it will be an insult to the film. Please keep your phones away." 

 

What is the story of 'Kesari Chapter 2'? Akshay Kumar plays C Shankaran Nair in the film. He fought a legal battle against the British Raj to get justice for the victims of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. R Madhavan and Ananya Pandey are also in important roles. The film presents the story of the events after that dark day of 1919. 

 

Karan Singh Tyagi has made the film Kesari Chapter 2 is directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, while Karan Johar is its producer. The film was in a lot of discussion even before its release. Especially when Tyagi mentioned a documentary. In this documentary, General Dyer's great-granddaughter tried to justify the massacre and called unarmed people looters. Tyagi had termed this view as wrong and disturbing.
