They have demanded the arrest of Tyagi soon. A large number of policemen have been deployed in the society since Sunday evening. More than 1,000 families live in this society.

Local BJP MP Dr. Mahesh Sharma had on Saturday denied Tyagi being a BJP member. He had said that strict action would be taken against the accused and he would be arrested within 48 hours.

 

Several videos of the incident had gone viral on social media, in one of which Tyagi was purportedly seen using abusive words and scuffles against the woman, along with abusing her. Tyagi had also allegedly made derogatory remarks against the woman's husband using abusive language.
