On Tuesday, Delhi’s minimum temperature was recorded at 20.5 degrees Celsius. The daytime temperature is expected to hover between 41 and 42 degrees Celsius. The skies will remain clear throughout the day, accompanied by intense sunshine.
Delhi’s Air Quality: In the ‘Moderate’ Category
At 9:30 AM on Tuesday, Delhi’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 171, placing it in the ‘Moderate’ category. Air quality in other NCR cities also ranges from ‘Moderate’ to ‘Poor.’ Forecasts indicate that the AQI is likely to remain within this range for the immediate future.
Avoid Stepping Out During the Afternoon
Meteorologists have issued a warning that temperatures in Delhi are likely to rise further over the coming days. The forecast states, “In the days ahead, the maximum temperature could rise by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, potentially intensifying the heatwave conditions.”
People have been advised to exercise caution when venturing out in the sun, as prolonged exposure to high temperatures can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion, and other health-related complications. Residents are urged to avoid stepping out during the afternoon hours, drink plenty of water, and wear light cotton clothing.
