They are patrolling in the snowy area of the Uttarakhand Himalayas at an altitude of 15,000 feet in below zero temperatures.
Training is given in below zero temperature
Explain that Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) personnel are trained in extremely cold conditions at minus 25 degrees Celsius at the bordering place of Uttarakhand, which is a routine exercise. There was a video of this. In which ITBP personnel was taking training in the temperature below zero amidst the snow. The video shows the personnel holding modern weapons and doing physical exercises.

Let us tell you that ITBP was established in the year 1962. ITBP primarily guards the 3,488 km long Indian border in the Himalayas at BOPS located at altitudes up to 18,800 feet. Apart from border security, ITBP is also deployed for anti-Naxal operations and other internal security duties.
