After the military withdrawal from Afghanistan and the Taliban rule there, America has decided to completely get rid of this country. Now US President Joe Biden has announced the revocation of Afghanistan's status as a 'major non-NATO ally.

President Biden said in the letter, "Following Section 517 of the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended (22 USC 2321k), I declare the revocation of Afghanistan's designation as a major non-NATO ally. Indeed In July 2012, the United States designated Afghanistan as a major non-NATO ally.

The army was called back last year

The US announced the withdrawal of its forces from Afghanistan last year. After this, the Taliban started attacks on Afghanistan. On August 15, 2021, Taliban fighters entered Afghanistan and in September the Taliban declared complete victory in Afghanistan. After this, an interim government was formed. However, so far this government has not been officially recognized by any country.

Many restrictions imposed on women

As soon as the Taliban took power in Afghanistan, it was announced that it was the new Taliban. However, after the formation of the interim government, the Taliban reverted to the same old style and imposed strict rules on women, citing Islam. According to Human Rights Watch (HRW), the Taliban dismissed all women from leadership positions in the civil service and barred girls from attending secondary school in most provinces. Taliban decree prohibits women from traveling unless a male is accompanied by a relative. Apart from this, an order was also passed to cover the faces of women in public.
