
Amit Shah Meeting: Terrorists shot dead two government school teachers, including a woman, in the Idgah area of Srinagar today. This is the fifth such incident within the last three days. Home Minister Amit Shah held a high-level meeting today because of the cowardly attack by terrorists. Several senior officers including National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval, IB Chief Arvind Kumar, DG CRPF Kuldeep Singh, DG BSF Pankaj Singh, and Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla were present in this meeting. Target killing was discussed in detail in the meeting.
A police officer said, "Two teachers were shot dead by terrorists in Sangam Idgah area of Srinagar district at around 11.15 am."
Earlier, Kashmiri Pandit Bindru was shot dead by terrorists at his pharmacy in Srinagar on Tuesday. Bindru was one of the few from his community who did not leave Kashmir after the outbreak of militancy in 1990.
Minutes after Bindru was killed, terrorists shot a roadside vendor named Virendra Paswan, a resident of Bhagalpur, Bihar, near Hawal Chowk in Srinagar. After this, terrorists also shot dead Mohammad Shafi Lone in Naidkhai of Bandipora district of North Kashmir.
Regarding these recent incidents, Jammu and Kashmir DGP Dilbag Singh said that terrorists are doing such incidents to create an atmosphere of fear, communal hatred here. This is a conspiracy to defame the local Kashmiri Muslims. This is being done on the instructions of Pakistani agencies.
