Mumbai NCB has no answer as to why it allowed a BJP worker and a man with a criminal record to nab it's accused. The Narcotics Control Bureau, which is campaigning against the drugs racket running in Bollywood, itself has been caught in controversies. NCP leader Nawab Malik has alleged that the bureau is carrying out its action by taking BJP workers and criminals along. He also rubbished the bureau's claim that drugs were recovered from the cruise. The Narcotics Control Bureau has no concrete answers to these allegations.
In the states of India where non-BJP parties are in power, there have been allegations that the BJP government at the Center is misusing the central investigative agencies working under it. These allegations got stronger on Tuesday when Nawab Malik, a minister in the Maharashtra government from the NCP, alleged that the Narcotics Control Bureau was working in collaboration with BJP workers.
These two names became the neck of NCB
Manish Bhanushali and Kiran Gosavi, these two names have become the neck of NCB. After an alleged raid on a cruise named Cordelia at Mumbai port in the early hours of Sunday, Bhanushali Arbaaz Merchant and Gosavi Shahrukh Khan were seen carrying son Aryan to the NCB office but both of them are neither NCB officers nor policemen. . One of them Manish Bhanushali has been a BJP worker and the other has a criminal record. Maharashtra government minister Nawab Malik raised the question as to what these people were doing to the NCB officials. They allege that NCB is working at the behest of the BJP.
Manish Bhanushali has been a BJP worker for years. She has posted pictures with PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on her social media accounts. Bhanushali himself admitted that he has been associated with BJP. According to him, he had received information about the drugs party on Cruise, which he shared with the NCB, but he could not explain why, like a policeman, he was bringing an accused to the office.
Kiran Gosavi describes himself as a private detective
The second person seen in the selfie with Aryan Khan is Kiran Gosavi, who describes himself as a private detective. On extracting Gosavi's background, it was found that he has about half a dozen criminal cases registered against him in Mumbai, Thane, and Pune. Gosavi is accused of cheating youths in the name of getting them jobs abroad. NCB in its clarification only said that a total of 9 people were called as Panch i.e. as independent witnesses, including Bhanushali and Gosavi.
...but the NCB could not answer the questions as to why they allowed these two men to hold the hands of the accused and bring them to their offices and why they included a person with a criminal record in their operation. The controversial operation of Cordelia Cruz was carried out under the leadership of NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede. When we questioned him on the allegations, he appeared to be evasive.
NCB and Sameer Wankhede garnered a lot of applause for the last one and a half years to get Bollywood out of the clutches of drugs... But it is also discounted. The lapse of the NCB officials has also given a political color to the matter.
