The reason for this is that the BJP has 48.9 percent votes and the opposition has 51.1 percent votes.

Uikey hails from Madhya Pradesh, and Murmu hails from Mayurbhanj, a tribal district in Odisha. Apart from this, one name is increasingly being speculated, that of Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi.
