Baghpat. The wind has again reached a very bad condition. The Air Quality Index (AQI) reached 336 on Sunday. The AQI had reached below 300 three days ago. Due to pollution, there has been an increase in the patients of respiratory, eye irritation, and throat allergies. The number of patients in the district hospital has reached 1500. Along with giving medicines, doctors are advising on prevention.

The AQI remained above 400 for several days after Diwali. It started decreasing gradually and it reached 299 three days ago. Although the air condition did not improve much, the situation seemed to be much better than the days after Diwali. Now the pollution has started increasing again and the AQI is running between 330-340 for several days. One reason for this is also believed to be the clouds of dust rising when the vehicle passes due to broken roads. Due to this, along with burning in the eyes, eyes, allergy patients started increasing in the throat. About 1500 patients are reaching the district hospital for the last several days and most of them are suffering from irritation in the eyes as well as sore throat and skin diseases.

Allergies and respiratory problems increasing in the throat due to pollution

ENT Surgeon Dr. Sunil Kumar told that due to pollution, there is an allergy in the throat and at this time many patients with throat problems are coming due to pollution. In such a situation, people must use masks while going out of the house. Those who have respiratory problems should avoid going out much and they should also use masks. The problem of burning in the eyes is also increasing.

Be careful with using hot water

According to CHC Superintendent Dr. Vibhash Rajput, drinking even normal water should be avoided in such weather. It is better if hot water is used. Coldwater should not be drunk at all. When going out of the house, a mask should be worn on the mouth and glasses on the eyes. The eyes should be washed with water several times a day, which reduces the risk of eye problems.
