Assam is becoming a hotbed of jihadi activities. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma revealed that in the last five months, five jihadi modules have been uncovered and many have been arrested. These include Burpeta Module, ABT Module-2, ABT Module-3, ABT Module-4, and ABT Module. It is clear from these claims of the government that jihadi modules are spreading rapidly in the state. This can prove to be a major threat to national security. These modules have been disclosed in collaboration with Assam Police and NIA.

These are jihadi modules

Burpeta Module:

Six members of the Ansar Al Bangla team were arrested on March 4. Its head is Mohammad Suman alias Sofia ul Islam. It is an imam in a mosque and a teacher in a madrasa. It is said that generally, these modules take people from Bangladesh under their influence. The police have got jihadi literature from him. And its hair is with the NIA.

ABT Module 2

On April 14, 6 people were arrested in another case. This included Musraf Hussain, Mockibul Hussain, and others. Jihadi literature Jehadir Lakhya (the goal of Jihad) was received from them.

ABT Module 3

4 people were arrested from Tripura.

ABT Module 4:

Mustafa has been arrested in the Morigaon Madrasa case. Mustafa has done a Ph.D. in Islamic Law from Bhopal in 2017. He opened Jamiul Huda Madrasa which had 43 students. Mustafa was teaching small children. He held Bangladeshi nationals illegally and allegedly taught jihadi literature. All those students have been sent to normal schools. Mustafa met top leaders of Ansar al-Bangla and sheltered Alam Gir, who was working as an imam at a mosque in Moirabari. Electronic encryption sensitive data was recovered from him. All the students of madrassa have been sent to normal schools.

ABT Module 5:

On July 27, Barpeta police re-discovered 9 suspected ab members. The arrested Diwan Hajibul was in contact with Bangladesh.

The arrested terrorist was running a madrasa, bulldozer

The madrassa in Assam's Morigaon district, from where its chief Mufti Mustafa was arrested for alleged links with Bangladesh-based terror outfit Ansarul Islam, was demolished on Thursday. According to the police, Jamatul Madrasa in Moirabari, which was recently sealed after the arrest of Mufti Mustafa, was bulldozed this morning.

Giving information in this regard, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa said, since March this year, five terror modules have been busted in Assam, of which the Morigaon module is one, in which two people including Mustafa were arrested. The madrassa was demolished under the Disaster Management Act and the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, he said. Permission was not taken from the district administration or the local panchayat in making it. Also, the electricity connection of the madrasa was found to be illegal and hence the Deputy Commissioner ordered the demolition after completing all the legal formalities.
