After petrol and diesel, the huge increase in the prices of CNG has also broken the back of the middle class. Especially the earnings of auto and taxi drivers have been badly affected. Fares not hiked Up: The rise in CNG prices has put auto-taxi drivers in a bad phase, making it difficult for them to drive home.

At the same time, auto-taxi drivers are on strike over the hike in CNG prices and demanding subsidy on CNG from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi. Due to this people are facing problems since Monday morning. The number of people affected due to the auto-taxi strike is in lakhs, who are facing problems since Monday morning.

In fact, along with auto and taxi drivers, many organizations of minibus drivers are also involved in this strike. It is being told that various unions of auto-taxi are demanding an increase in fare rates and reduction in CNG prices and subsidy on CNG.

Let us inform you that most of the organizations have said that Monday is only a one-day strike, but Sarvodaya Driver Association Delhi has said that they will go on indefinite strike from Monday. Kamaljit Gill, President of Sarvodaya Driver Association Delhi has said that we have decided to go on an indefinite strike from Monday as the government does not take any steps to help us by reducing fuel prices and revising fares.

On the other hand, Delhi Auto Rickshaw Association general secretary Rajendra Soni said that we know that the Delhi government is forming a committee but we need a solution to our problems which is not visible. We demand that the government (Centre and Delhi) should provide a subsidy of Rs 35 per kg on CNG prices. Hundreds of auto, taxi, and cab drivers recently protested at the Delhi Secretariat demanding subsidy on CNG prices.
