Basant Panchami 2024: Basant Panchami is one of the most special festivals of the Hindu religion. Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge, is worshiped on this day. This festival is celebrated on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Magh month. According to Hindu traditions, the entire year is divided into six seasons, in which spring is called the king of all seasons. The day the spring season begins is celebrated as the festival of Vasant Panchami. This year Vasant Panchami will be celebrated on 14 February 2024.

Vasant Panchami has religious significance as well as social significance.

Vasant Panchami is an auspicious day to start new things in life. In this season, new buds start appearing on the trees.

According to religious beliefs, Mother Saraswati had appeared on this day, hence a special worship of Goddess Saraswati is organized on this day on Vasant Panchami. Mother Saraswati is considered the goddess of knowledge and wisdom.

How did the celebration of Vasant Panchami begin?

According to Hindu mythology, Lord Brahma created the universe on this day. After creating the universe, when he looked at the world, he saw everything deserted and deserted. The atmosphere seemed calm. Then Brahma ji took permission from Lord Vishnu and sprinkled water on the earth from his kamandalu. After sprinkling water, the goddess appeared with a veena in her hand. Mother's apparition festival is celebrated with great pomp throughout the country.

Along with religiosity, this festival also has environmental importance. The movement of weather starts changing with this season. The evening is also becoming pleasant. With Nav Pallava, weather changes become visible. Trees, plants, and flowers withered in the cold ignite the inner fire and move toward new creation. The crops in the fields make the environment pleasant.
