BCCI is taking every step to organize WIPL, Board Secretary Jay Shah revealed

The Women's Indian Premier League (WIPL) i.e. Women's T20 Challenge may start early next year, which has already been indicated by Sourav Ganguly, President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India. At the same time, now BCCI secretary Jay Shah has said that the board is working on starting this tournament soon. There is a possibility of organizing the Women's IPL this year, but last year this tournament was not played.

 

The three-team 'Women's T20 Challenge' tournament has also been organized along with the men's IPL, but many feel that the women's also deserves a bigger tournament with more teams and players. The Women's T20 Challenge tournament may continue this year as well, but according to BCCI secretary Jay Shah, things will change soon.

In this regard, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said on Monday, "I want to assure you that BCCI is not only thinking about it but is taking all necessary steps to start a full-fledged women's league like IPL soon." The huge interest from fans and players towards the Women's T20 Challenge is an encouraging sign and we are determined to fulfill it."

 

Significantly, due to the worsening situation in the country due to the Corona epidemic, the entire 2020 season of IPL and the second phase of the 2021 season were held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), but this time Jay Shah decided to organize the IPL 2022 season in India itself. which is expected to start in the first week of March. It is likely to be held in Maharashtra itself, for which the auction is to be held on February 12 and 13.
