
The Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab has appointed Aam Aadmi Party leader and state in-charge Raghav Chadha as chairman of the advisory committee on public interest matters. Party sources have given this information. Recently, a notification was issued by the Punjab Government about the formation of an advisory committee. This has also been targeted by opposition parties. The opposition says that it is unconstitutional to form this committee and in this way, it is wrong to give entry to an institution outside the government in matters of power.
Punjab Congress President Amarinder Raja Vading tweeted, "Man Sahib why are you creating an unconstitutional body with real power in its hands and no accountability. Is this a conspiracy by the real forces of the Aam Aadmi Party to create a super cabinet and super CM in Punjab? Please explain why you are asking for such advice. Who will be the chairman of this institution and who will be given its membership. There have been allegations from the opposition side that there is interference in the Punjab government from Delhi and Bhagwant Mann is not working independently.
There will be speed in the implementation of the agreement with the Delhi government
However, sources in the Punjab government defended it saying that the office bearers of this committee would not get any separate allowance or benefit. The Knowledge Sharing Agreement signed between Delhi and Punjab Government on the advice of the committee members will be implemented expeditiously. Through the new committee, the focus of the Punjab Government will be on implementing the Knowledge Sharing Agreement with the Delhi Government. This agreement was signed in the month of April.

Earlier, there was also a controversy over the appointment of Raghav Chadha as the media manager of the Punjab government. Chadha's personal secretary Mohammad Asghar Zaidi has been given this post at a salary of Rs 1 lakh per month. Congress MP from Jalandhar Cantt, Pargat Singh had tweeted and said, 'Raghav Chadha, the Subedar of Punjab, wants to tighten the noose of Delhi around the neck of Punjab. His long-serving PA Mohammad Asghar Zaidi has now become a Digital Media Manager in the Government of Punjab with a salary of 1 lakh per month. Now the spin master of Delhi AAP has been appointed at the expense of the Punjab government.
