Bhagwant Mann Oath: After the massive victory of the Aam Aadmi Party, Bhagwant Mann will take oath as the Chief Minister at Khatkar Kalan in Nawanshahr today. To make this event memorable, the government that formed the Aam Aadmi Party is making full efforts. Today Bhagwant Mann will take oath alone and it is said that his ministers will take oath on March 19. Bhagwant Mann will take oath as Chief Minister at Khatkar Kalan, the native village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He would be the 26th Chief Minister of the state, though he would be the 19th Chief Minister after the Punjab Reorganization (1966).
It is said that arrangements for two thousand buses have also been made to bring people from different districts to the swearing-in ceremony of Bhagwant Mann. Delhi Chief Minister and AAP's national convener Arvind Kejriwal and the entire cabinet of Delhi will reach Khatkar Kalan in Nawanshahr to attend the function.
It is said that two MLAs from Goa, Aam Aadmi Party leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, and Uttarakhand have also been invited. However, there is no information whether Bhagwant Mann has invited leaders like former Chief Ministers Parkash Singh Badal, Captain Amarinder Singh, Charanjit Singh Channi or not.
Regarding the participation of Chief Ministers of other states in the swearing-in ceremony of Bhagwant Mann, a senior Punjab government official said that the Chief Ministers of all the states are being asked about their arrival but so far except Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. No confirmation has come.
