After the elections of five states are over, now inflation has started increasing. Oil companies have also increased the price of domestic gas cylinders by Rs 50. Due to this, a 14.2 kg non-subsidized cylinder has gone beyond Rs 1,000 in Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. It is getting Rs 1048 in Patna. Talking about Delhi, now a 14.2 kg non-subsidized cylinder will be available here for Rs 949.50.

 

Gas cylinder became costlier by Rs 130.50 in 1 year

The price of domestic gas cylinder in Delhi on March 1, 2021 was Rs 819, which has now reached Rs 949.50. That is, in the last one year, the domestic gas cylinder price has increased by 130.50. At the same time, the subsidy on this has also been abolished.

 

Gas cylinder price more than doubled in last 8 years

 

In the last 8 years, the price of a domestic gas cylinder (14.2 kg) has doubled to Rs 949.50 per cylinder. The price of 14.2 kg domestic gas cylinder on 1st March 2014 was Rs 410.5 which is now Rs 949.50.

 

Rising inflation due to Russia-Ukraine war

 

There was no change in the price of petrol, diesel and domestic LPG cylinders for a long time. Petrol and diesel rates were stable since November 4, 2021. There was no change in the rate of domestic LPG cylinders since October 6, 2021. On the other hand, due to the Russo-Ukraine war, the price of crude oil in the international market had jumped up to 40%. Due to this, there was pressure on the oil companies to increase their prices.

 

Petrol and diesel became costlier by 80 paise

 

Petrol and diesel prices increased by 80 paise per liter across the country. Due to this, the price of petrol in Delhi increased from Rs 95.41 per liter to Rs 96.21 per liter. On the other hand, the rate of one liter of diesel increased from Rs 86.67 per liter to Rs 87.47 per litre.
