Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra has reached Haryana. This will be the second phase of the yatra in Haryana. However, Rahul Gandhi's stay in Panipat has been canceled. He had to stay in a tent house built at Sanauli Khurd village on the Uttar Pradesh-Haryana border. Confirming this, Rajya Sabha MP Deepender Hooda said that this decision has been taken due to Sonia Gandhi's ill health.
This is the second phase of the yatra in Haryana. He will go from Panipat to Karnal, Kurukshetra, and Ambala. After this, will enter Punjab on 10th January. In the first phase, he covered Nuh (Mewat), Faridabad, and Gurugram districts.
Section 144 applied due to travel
DC Sushil Sarwan has invoked section 144 in Panipat regarding his security because of the yatra from the 5th to the 7th of January. As per the order, within a 1-kilometer radius of Rahul Gandhi's yatra, it has been temporarily declared a red zone till January 7 with immediate effect, in which no unmanned flying vehicle (drone, etc.) can fly in this radius. But the ban will remain. If any person is found guilty of disobeying the above orders, legal action will be taken against him under section 188.

January 5: Rahul Gandhi's yatra reached Sanauli via Kairana. During this, vehicles going to UP will be diverted towards Bapoli from near village Chhajpur on Sanauli road. Sanauli Road ahead of Chhajpur will remain closed overnight.
January 6: The journey will start from Chhajpur to Naam Charcha Ghar at 6.30 am. That's why Sanauli Road will be closed two hours before. From Yatra, Charcha Ghar reaches Sanjay Chowk to GT Road. That's why Sanauli Road will remain closed till noon.
5 thousand policemen were deployed
The district police have also made complete preparations and rehearsals for Rahul Gandhi's security during his visit. He will be accompanied by 3,000 policemen from the Panipat district. Apart from this, 1700 policemen have been called from other districts. For the responsibility, apart from SP Shashank Kumar Sawan of the district, 9 ASP, and 28 DSPs of different districts will also give duty. Rahul Gandhi will be accompanied by policemen in tracksuits in a D-security circle of 100 meters.
Advice to go through the flyover for security reasons
There is doubt about the route for Rahul Gandhi's walk in the city. Due to security reasons, they have been advised to go through the flyover. While the city leaders want him to go on foot from below. Right now this route plan is subject to change. Its final decision will be taken by Rahul Gandhi and his operational team.
Route diverted on Sanauli Road
The district administration has diverted the route on Sanauli Road for Rahul Gandhi's visit. People coming towards Uttar Pradesh will now go through Sonipat or Karnal instead of Sanauli Road. However, the route of Highway 709AD to be constructed from village Siwah to Muzaffarnagar will be different from the yatra.
