Import of this equipment will not be allowed under the deadline starting December next year. This is the third list released by the Defense Ministry in the last 16 months.
This step has been taken to make India the center of production of military platforms and equipment. Along with this, the ministry also released another list of 2500 items that have already been indigenised. According to the ministry, with these steps, the country is moving rapidly towards the goal of becoming self-reliant and making new achievements.
