The challenges of terrorism cannot be ignored

In the meeting held on Tuesday, S Jaishankar said that we cannot ignore the challenges of terrorism and violent extremism. Similarly, drug trade and cyber attacks are also big challenges. We should have a legal framework so that our legal investigative agencies can have a closer and more effective liaison against such challenges.

What is BIMSTEC?

Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation is a regional organization of countries adjoining and adjoining the Bay of Bengal. BIMSTEC consists of seven member countries adjoining the Bay of Bengal. Apart from India, it includes Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and Thailand.
