Zakir Hussain created history

Zakir Hussain won the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Performance for his contribution to 'Pashto' during the premiere ceremony of the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in the US. Apart from this, he also won the awards for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album and Best Global Music. Indian flute player Rakesh Chaurasia has won 2 Grammy Awards along with Zakir Hussain.

Grammy winner Ricky Cage shared a video congratulating the band. Along with this, he wrote, "Shakti has won the GRAMMY!!! 4 brilliant Indian musicians have won the GRAMMY Awards through this album!!
