The Grammy Awards hold the highest status in the world of music. This year the event is being held on Sunday (Monday in India) at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Where many singers and singers have been awarded awards for their art. The names of some Indian musicians are also included in these.

Shakti created a stir

Indian singer Shankar Mahadev and famous tabla player Zakir Hussain have been honored with the Grammy Award. India's fusion band 'Shakti' made a splash at the Grammys this year. The band's album 'This Moment' has received the 'Best Global Music Album' award. 'Shakthi' stars Shankar Mahadevan, John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, V Selvaganesh, and Ganesh Rajagopalan.

 

Zakir Hussain created history

Zakir Hussain won the Grammy Award for Best Global Music Performance for his contribution to 'Pashto' during the premiere ceremony of the 66th Annual Grammy Awards in the US. Apart from this, he also won the awards for Best Contemporary Instrumental Album and Best Global Music. Indian flute player Rakesh Chaurasia has won 2 Grammy Awards along with Zakir Hussain.

 

India won the Grammy

Grammy winner Ricky Cage shared a video congratulating the band. Along with this, he wrote, "Shakti has won the GRAMMY!!! 4 brilliant Indian musicians have won the GRAMMY Awards through this album!! It has been amazing. India is shining in every direction. Shankar Mahadevan, Selvaganesh Vinayakram, Ganesh Rajagopalan, "Ustad Zakir Hussain. Ustad Zakir Hussain wins second GRAMMY along with amazing flute player Rakesh Chaurasia. Amazing!!!! India wins GRAMMY Award."
