Once again the threat of cyclonic storm 'Biparjoy' is looming large in the coastal areas. If the Meteorological Department is to be believed, Biparjoy has taken an even more terrifying form tomorrow. Regarding this, six districts of Saurashtra-Kutch have been put on alert. According to the Meteorological Department, extremely dangerous cyclone Biparjoy is likely to make landfall between Kutch district and Pakistan's Karachi on June 15. Meanwhile, several flights were delayed at Mumbai airport yesterday due to bad weather.

According to the Meteorological Department, the districts which have been put on alert are Kutch, Jamnagar, Morbi, Gir Somnath, Porbandar, and Devbhoomi Dwarka. These districts are very likely to be affected by a cyclonic storm during June 13-15 with heavy rains and very strong wind speeds, which can reach up to 150 kmph. Because of the increasing danger of cyclones, more than 1500 people have reached the shelter of the shelter. At the same time, fishermen have been warned about going to the coast till June 15.

District Deputy Commissioner of Devbhoomi Dwarka, Ashok Sharma says that because of the impact of Cyclone Biparjoy, schools have been ordered to remain closed till June 15. He said that the Meteorological Department has informed him that there is a possibility of being affected by a cyclone between June 13 and 15 with very strong wind speed, which can go up to 125 kmph. Due to this, very heavy rainfall can occur in Devbhoomi. Therefore all necessary steps have been taken.

Let us inform you, Kutch, of Devbhoomi Dwarka and Mandvi Beach of Shivrajpur have been closed for the people. Along with this, boat travel to Okha Bayt Dwarka has also been banned.

Apart from this, Kutch Deputy Commissioner Amit Arora said that more than eight thousand people from 72 villages have been alerted. Arora said that people of villages like Gandhidham, Mandvi, Abdasa, Lakhpat talukas, etc. have been asked to be vigilant. These villages are situated at a distance of about five km from the sea. He said that we have deployed NDRF and SDRF teams because of the situation. While in Jamnagar, Morbi, and Kutch districts, the teams will be watching till the next day.

The flight delayed, and passengers had to wait

The main runway had to be temporarily closed due to bad weather. This delayed several flights at the Mumbai airport. At the same time, the passengers had to wait for hours on Sunday night. The India Meteorological Department on Monday predicted rain and thunderstorm in Mumbai as Cyclone Biparjoy intensified into an 'extremely severe cyclonic storm' and is expected to hit the west coast on June 15.

Passengers were seen upset. Were seen running here and there to get information. Because of all this, Air India tweeted that due to bad weather, there was temporary closure of runway 09/27 at Mumbai airport. Hence some flights will be delayed and some have been cancelled.

Meanwhile, Akasa Air said flight QP 1367 Mumbai-Bengaluru was delayed due to air traffic congestion at Mumbai airport.

Ruckus on social media

A user tweeted that complete chaos at Akasa Air at Mumbai airport. The flight to Bengaluru was delayed twice. Poor people were running from here to there with their belongings. How bad is this? What a shame.
