New Delhi, May 3 (IANS) The BJP Saturday asked the Election Commission to file a complaint against Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi for his alleged comments at an election rally in Himachal Pradesh.
The Gandhi scion had in a rally May 1 said that "if the BJP comes to power, peace would be a casualty".
He had also said in the rally in Solan that "22,000 people lost lives during the five-year NDA rule in various terrorist activities while merely 800 people had been killed in the UPA government's five-year tenure".
After meeting the poll panel Saturday, BJP's Ananth Kumar said the party has requested the Election Commission to ensure that such language is not used.
"We condemn such baseless comments made by him," Kumar told the media.
