Unnao MP, Sakshi Maharaj, once again embarrassed the party with his controversial statement that Hindu women should give birth to “at least four children”, the BJP on Monday issued a show case notice to him, seeking an explanation on why disciplinary action should not be initiated against him for his remarks.

By the information from the part source, On the course of BJP Chief Amit Shah the notice has already been sent to the MP. In which they asked to to MP that why he is making controversial statement continuously, which can be harmful for the party reputation.

On this Sakshi Maharaj said “I have already said what I wanted to say. I have not received any notice… Jab Notice aayega, dekha jaayega.”

Addressing a religious meet in Meerut last week, the MP was quoted as saying that Hindu women should give birth to at least four children. “We have accepted the slogan ‘Hum do, hamara ek’. Now these traitors are not satisfied. They have given another slogan ‘Hum do aur hamara….’ They are advocating marriage of a girl to a girl, boy to another boy. This is what the last government did,” he was reported to have said.

“This is why I… want to request women to give birth to at least four children. Give one to sadhus and ascetics.

Media says there are ceasefire violations happening, so send another to the border,” he said.

Sakshi Maharaj had earlier stoked a row by describing Mahatma Gandhi’s assassin Nathuram Godse as a “patriot”. “I believe Nathuram Godse was also a nationalist and Mahatma Gandhiji also did a lot for the nation. Godse was an aggrieved person. He may have done something by mistake but was not an anti-national. He was a patriot…….Wait for some time… a law will be passed in Parliament in which anyone indulging in cow slaughter and conversion will be punished with the death sentence.”.

BJP’s national Secretary Shrikant Sharma said the party has asked its public representatives and workers not to make such comments in public.
