The Kartarpur Corridor will be opened for the darshan of Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib in Pakistan before the Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. The central government has announced this on Tuesday. Home Minister Amit Shah tweeted that a big decision has been taken to benefit Sikh pilgrims. Kartarpur Sahib Corridor will be opened from Wednesday 17th November.

Amit Shah wrote in his tweet, a big decision has been taken benefiting Sikh pilgrims. Under this, the central government has decided to reopen the Kartarpur Sahib Corridor from tomorrow, November 17. This decision shows the immense reverence of the Modi government towards Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and our Sikh community.

Let us inform you that on Monday, a delegation of Punjab BJP leaders had met President Ram Nath Kovind in this regard. BJP National General Secretary Dushyant Gautam, State General Secretary Dyal Singh Sodhi, National Executive Member Harjit Singh Grewal, and Kisan Morcha State President Bikramjit Singh Cheema, who arrived to meet Punjab BJP President Ashwani Sharma, had demanded from the President that Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji Kartarpur Corridor should be opened for the people on the occasion of Prakash Parv. Let us tell you that on November 19, Prakash Parv will be celebrated.

About a year and a half ago, the corridor was closed due to the Corona epidemic. Ashwini Sharma said that due to the wrong policies of the then Congress leaders at the time of independence, the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara had gone to Pakistan, while the Gurdwara and its surrounding area should have been part of Bharat. He said that for 60 years the then government did not take any step in this direction. Efforts were started in this direction after the Bharatiya Janata Party came to power in 2014.
