Investment of more than 7600 crores may be announced

Britain was India's third-largest trading partner at the beginning of this century but has slipped to 17th place last year. Johnson is expected to announce new investment and export agreements by British and Indian businesses in areas ranging from software engineering to pharmaceuticals, totaling more than ₹7,600 crores.

India can get more visas

The British PM has indicated ahead of his visit that he is ready to extend more visas to India this year in return for a free trade agreement that could boost annual bilateral trade by billions of pounds.

FTA talks will gain momentum
