Kolkata, March 3 (IANS) Questioning the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a forum of minorities on Tuesday demanded an apology from RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat for his comments on Mother Teresa.
The State Forum of Minorities Organisations held a demonstration here condemning the "mischievous intention and aims of Bhagwat behind his malicious allegation against Mother Teresa".
"Bhagwat must substantiate his allegation or beg apology unconditionally.
"The people who have assembled here also question the silence of our prime minister and demand a statement from him," Forum convener Heor Mulick said.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Bhagwat has been receiving flak after saying that the Nobel laureate's service to the poor was aimed at converting them to Christianity.
