A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan posted at the India-Pakistan International Border in Punjab accidentally crossed the Zero Line at 7.40 am on Thursday and reached Pakistani territory. The young man made this mistake due to the dense fog. This jawan has been arrested by Pak Rangers as soon as he reached the Pakistani area.

The jawan belongs to the 66 battalions of BSF. As soon as the information about his crossing the border was received, the top officials swung into action. Pak Rangers had also confirmed their detention, but are adamant about not returning them.

first, know what happened

This incident is in the Ferozepur sector of BSF. In the morning, jawans conduct a routine search in the Abohar area. BSF jawans were conducting a routine search in the Indian territory beyond the fencing on the Indo-Pak border in the Abohar area in the Ferozepur sector. There was so much fog here that the jawan crossed the zero line.

Due to the fog, even the rest of the jawans could not come to know for some time that their companion was missing. After some time when they gathered, it was found that one jawan was less. Even after a long search, when he could not be found, there was a stir in the battalion.

India's territory beyond the fencing

India has put up fencing to prevent infiltration and smuggling of arms and drugs from Pakistan. This fencing about 12 feet high has been done inside the Indian border and 300 to 500 meters ahead of it is the territory of India. After that, there is the International Border (Zero Line) where the white line is drawn.

Farmers also do farming in the Indian territory beyond the fencing. The cards are issued to the farmers on behalf of the BSF. Whenever a farmer goes to the fields, BSF personnel accompany him for surveillance. Apart from this, BSF personnel continuously search the entire area to stop the smuggling of arms and drugs.
