The budget session of the Parliament is going to start today. The budget session will be held in two phases. The first session will run from January 31 to February 13, while the second phase will run from March 13 to April 6. There will be a total of 27 sittings in the 66-day long budget session. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the general budget for the financial year 2023-24 in Parliament on February 1 at 11 am. This will be the last full-time budget of the current central government.
