The case is of Shardamani Girls High School in Chhayanagar, Sitaramdera. It is alleged that on Friday, on suspicion of copying, teacher Chandra Das took off the clothes of Ritu Mukhi (15 years) and investigated. The class IX student was so hurt that as soon as she came home, she set herself on fire by sprinkling kerosene in the school dress itself. The girl, engulfed in flames, came out of the house on the road and fell unconscious. People put out the fire by pouring water. Then immediately took him to MGM Hospital.
