The 13-member committee formed to prepare the results of class 12 of the CBSE board submitted its report in the Supreme Court on Thursday. In this, the board has told about the formula to release the result. According to the board's draft, the pre-board results of class 10th, 11th, and 12th will be made the basis of the final result. If everything goes well, the results will be released by July 31.

Giving the details of preparing the 12th mark sheet, CBSE said that out of the 5 subjects of class 10, the 3 in which the student would have scored the highest, only those will be selected for preparing the result. Similarly, the average of all the five subjects of class 11th will be taken and the marks obtained in the unit, term, and practical of class 12th will be made the basis of the result.

The board said that 30-30% weightage will be given to 10th and 11th marks and 40% weightage to 12th marks. A separate examination will be arranged for the children who want to take the exam, once the situation becomes normal.

Government's logic - Formula designed with Experts Committee

Attorney General KK Venugopal told that since 1929 CBSE is providing its services. This has never happened before in history. We have designed this formula with an expert committee. 10th class board exams and subjects are different from 11th and 12th, so we have made the last 3 years 10th, 11th, and 12th as the basis.

Hearing adjourned till Monday

The Supreme Court said, 'Both CBSE and ICSE boards have said that along with the formula for declaration of results, the timing of optional examinations will also be told. If Advocate Vikas Singh has any suggestions, they can be considered. Both the boards are free to implement the scheme. They will tell us about it on the next date of hearing. Saying this, the court adjourned the hearing till Monday.

30:30:40 Panel's 3 Arguments on Formula

1. The member of the panel said that we have discussed with Navodaya Vidyalayas, CBSE, affiliated schools, and other schools run by the Centre. It came to the fore that this time the 12th batch has gone completely online. So there is a lot of uncertainty. Classes have not been conducted in normal conditions and assessment has also not been completed.

2. In such a situation, it is not appropriate to prepare the result of the panel based on only the 12th assessment. We have to judge the performance given by the students under normal conditions. In such a situation, the performance of 10th becomes very important. This is the most reliable data that CBSE has taken at its examination centers and it has been evaluated outside. Similarly, the 11th exams were also done before the lockdown. All these exams have happened in different situations.

3. The committee is thinking of giving more preference to the 12th. But if we talk overall, it has been agreed to give 30-30% weightage to 10th-11th and 40% weightage to 12th. However, some members are also talking about giving more weightage to class 10th and 11th. Some schools are also on this site.

Numbers to be uploaded by June 28

According to sources, the principals of CBSE affiliated schools have informed the committee that they are in a position to give the number of tests and exams conducted for class 10th, 11th, and 12th in 2020-21. No offline tests and practicals have been conducted in Mumbai schools last year and no physical classes have been conducted. Schools that have not been able to take practicals have been approved for online practical and oral tests. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to upload the internal assessment numbers of class 12 on the CBSE system by June 28.

PM canceled the exam on June 1

Earlier, during the Corona epidemic, the central government had canceled the 12th board exams across the country on 1 June. With the announcement of the cancellation of the examination, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the 12th result will be prepared within the stipulated time frame and on a logical basis. In such a situation, the big question is that on what basis the students will be assessed.
