
Arunachal Pradesh on Monday successfully launched the first flight of drone service 'Medicine From The Sky' from Seppa in East Kameng district to Chaoyang Tajo. Chief Minister Pema Khandu gave this information by tweeting.
'Project started inspired by PM Modi's vision
Pema Khandu said, 'Drone services have been started. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision to make India the world's drone hub, the Arunachal Pradesh government in collaboration with the World Economic Forum has decided to use drones in health, agriculture, and disaster management. It has been decided to start a pilot project.

Khandu said. Based on the 'Regional Assessment Report', a pilot project 'Medicine from the Sky' is being started from Seppa in East Kameng district on the occasion of Independence Day. Glad to launch it virtually as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations. He has also shared the video of the start of the drone flight service.
'Technology will be adopted in a phased manner
Chief Minister Khandu said the pilot project has been funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and executed by Bengaluru-based startup Redwing Labs. He said that the pilot project will provide a clear picture of operational issues, financial viability, and regulatory issues based on which our government will formulate a policy and take steps to adopt this emerging technology in a phased manner.
