WhatsApp's new Privacy Policy The Central Government today told the Delhi High Court that the different treatment of Indian and European users regarding WhatsApp's new privacy policy is a matter of concern for her and she is looking into the matter. The Central Government told the High Court that it is also a matter of concern that the privacy policy is being changed unilaterally for Indian users on the social networking platform Whatsapp.

Hearing on the petition filed against the privacy policy

Additional Solicitor General Chetan Sharma apprised the government of this opinion to the court of Justice Sanjiv Sachdev, who was hearing a petition filed by a lawyer against the privacy policy brought by WhatsApp. During the hearing, Sharma told the court that Indian users were not given the option to share data with other companies of Facebook. At first glance, it seems that WhatsApp is following the policy of 'Accept or not serve' with the users. Used to be.

'May have social impact'

"The force of WhatsApp forcing users to compromise can have a social impact, affecting the privacy of information and information security," he said. Sharma said that the government is already looking into the matter and WhatsApp has been contacted to get some information. Senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for WhatsApp, told the court that the letter has been received and will be answered. At the same time, the next hearing in this case will be on March 1.
