Chandigarh University MMS Case: After the disclosure of a student of Chandigarh University making objectionable videos of girl students in the girl's hostel, there was a ruckus and actions throughout the day on Sunday. After the arrest of the first accused student and later the arrest of her boyfriend from Shimla, when peace returned to the campus, the university management and police breathed a sigh of relief. But late in the night once again the students got angry and started protesting on campus. This caused a stir between the university management and the police. Tension prevailed on the campus since Monday morning. Tight security arrangements have been made on the campus and police are also deployed.
The hands and feet of the university administration and the police swelled
On Sunday, it was in the headlines for the whole day that some injured girls in the hostel have attempted suicide. The university management and the police kept on saying that the suicide of a girl student was baseless. At the same time, the video of an unconscious girl being taken in an ambulance went viral on the internet. On the other hand, it is said that the university management kept pressuring the students of the campus not to give any statement regarding this matter.
After that, on Sunday evening, hundreds of university students again gheraoed and blocked the way and sat on the ground outside the main gate. Seeing the crowd growing, the hands of the police swelled and there was concern on the face of the university management. Students were raising questions about the health of the girl who was taken in an ambulance. On this, the university's management told the students sitting on the protest that the girl they are protesting to get justice is healthy.
On this, the protesters said that first bring that girl student in front of us. After this, the girl was called to the spot and she put her side in front of everyone. On this, voices came from the crowd of students that this statement is being made by putting pressure on the student.
The students said that first they should be assured that the girl who made the video viral has been arrested. On this, Mohali DC Mohali, who was present on the spot, assured us that the girl has been arrested in this case and SIT has also been formed. A fair investigation will be conducted into this matter soon. But the protest continued till late at night.

The atmosphere in the university on Sunday was very tense. It is alleged that the students were being pressurized to suppress the matter. Under the same, he was asked not to give any statement to the media. Along with this, the warden made a picnic plan to visit the Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake for a day outing and to refresh the mind by putting a message on the WhatsApp group of the students in the D block of the hostel.
