Climate change has made weather forecasting difficult in India. To improve the forecast, the Meteorological Department is adopting more radars and high-capacity computing systems. The Director General of the Indian Meteorological Department Mrityunjay Mohapatra gave detailed information about this. He told about the ongoing work on the subject of climate change in the country, its impact on the weather, changes in the monsoon, the accuracy of forecasts, etc.

 

How will the weather be in just 1 km, we will know by 2025

 

Weather forecast for an area of ​​1 km each in panchayats and cities in India will be possible by 2025. The department currently gives a forecast model of a 12 km area, it will be increased to 6 km and 1 km at the regional level. That is, we will also know how the weather will be in any locality of the city.

 

Monsoon: Increased in Rajasthan, decreased in North, East, Northeast

 

Climate change has caused instability in the atmosphere. Incidents like heavy rain, stormy weather, and lightning have increased. Storms from the Arabian Sea, more than 5 cm of rain in 1 hour i.e. cloudburst, etc. have also increased in the mountains. There was no major impact on the average rainfall in the country, but it has decreased over the East, North, and Northeast parts. While growing up in western Rajasthan.

Nine killed in lightning strike in Madhya Pradesh

At the same time, a 65-year-old woman Chandra died due to lightning in Jatwada of Satna. Here, 45-year-old woman Manu Ahirwar lost her life due to lightning in Bhora village of Guna.
