Corona: Active cases of corona close to 80 thousand, 9923 people infected in last 24 hours, 17 died

The number of corona infections in the country continues to fluctuate. According to Tuesday's data released by the Ministry of Health, 9,923 new cases of corona have been reported in the last 24 hours. During this 17 patients lost their lives. Let us tell you that 18 patients died yesterday. However, 7,293 people were also discharged in the last 24 hours. The number of active patients in the country has increased to 79,313 which is 2613 more than yesterday. A total of 5,24,890 people have died since the beginning of the pandemic.

Corona cases are increasing continuously in Delhi. In the last 24 hours, 1060 cases were registered here while six people died. The infection rate has crossed 10 percent. For the last few days, this figure was running between six and seven percent. In such a situation, there has been a big jump in the infection rate in a single day, which is an alarm bell for the coming days.

 

Corona cases in Mumbai also cross 1300

 

Talking about Mumbai, 1310 cases of the corona were reported in the last 24 hours in the financial capital of the country. Two corona-infected patients have also died in Mumbai today. A total of 9,949 people were tested for corona by BMC today.

 

Daily positivity rate is 2.55 percent

 

According to the Ministry of Health, the daily positivity rate in the country was 2.55 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 2.67 percent. At the same time, the number of people recovering from the epidemic increased to 4,27,15,193, while the case fatality rate was 1.21 percent. According to the ministry, 196.32 crore COVID-19 vaccine doses have been given so far in the country under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
