Corona in India: After the Indian strain of Maharashtra, now the triple mutant variants of Bengal have increased concern ... know why this form of the corona is so dangerous

The second wave of coronavirus in India is proving far more deadly. The situation has become worrisome with 2 to 3 lakh new cases coming up every day. Scientists decoded the new Covid variant B.1.617 made in India for this. Everyone was eyeing this variant of Indian Origin, which came out in the Vidarbha region of Maharashtra, that now another variant from Bengal has raised concerns. B.1.618 is said to be a triple mutant.

Scientists have given B.1.618 the name of the Bengal strain. The new variant is made up of three different Covid strains. That is, this strain of coronavirus has changed three times. It is quite fatal. It is also distinguishing the immunity of the body. People who have been infected with the corona before the mutation or who have got the vaccine are also caught in it.

Vinod Sakaria, a genome mutation researcher at the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB), said, 'B.1.618 has spread very rapidly in Bengal in recent months. It has taken a big form in West Bengal together with B.1.617. ' In the past 24 hours, 3.15 lakh new corona cases have been reported in India, while 2100 people have died.

The National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG) at Kalyani, 50 km from Kolkata, found the Bengal strain for the first time in a patient on 25 October last year. By January this year, it spread in large numbers. Associate Professor Sridhar Chinnaswamy said that the Bengal strain is different from the alleged double mutants. It has spread to many parts of the country.

Along with this, the scientists of the country and the world have lost sight of the B.1.617 variants which came out in Amravati and adjoining areas in Vidarbha, Maharashtra. Many researchers from abroad have also investigated this 'Indian variant' in Nagpur. Infection disease specialist doctor Nitin Shinde said that this strain is quite different from variants in Britain, Africa, Brazil.
