The novel corona virus (covid-19 in india) spread from China to the whole world has created a furore. Its first case came in Wuhan of Hubei province of China in December 2019, since then the virus has engulfed the whole world. Not only this, this deadly virus has changed itself into 10 different types. In this there is a form of A2a. There are currently 11 types of this virus. Research has shown that A2a type virus is more dangerous and now it is spreading the most infections all over the world.

A research by the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics, Kalyani Bengal (NIBG) has revealed that the A2a virus has spread across the world in place of other types of viruses. This research by Nidhan Vishwas and Pratha Mazumdar is going to be published soon in the Indian Journal of Medical Research.

Research claims, new virus damages lungs

Research has shown that the A2a virus is quite dangerous and has the ability to infiltrate the lungs of humans extensively. The previous SARSCoV virus, which killed 800 people ten years ago and infected more than 8,000 people, also developed the ability to enter the lungs of humans. However, it did not have this capability as much as the A2a virus. According to research, the A2a virus has a rapid transmission and this type of Covid-19 is spreading all over the world.

Research will help to make vaccine

Research by Viswas and Majumdar is believed to be of significant help to the scientists making the vaccine for Corona. According to research, in the last 4 months, 10 types of Covid-19 virus were of their old 'O' type. From the last week of March A2a started replacing the old virus and it has spread all over the world. Majumdar said, "It has replaced another type of virus and has become a powerful variant of SARSCoV2."

Use of RNA sequence data in research

Researchers at NIBG used RNA sequence data. This data was released by researchers from all over the world researching Covid-19. Indian researchers used RNA sequence data. RNA sequences were used on 3,600 corona viruses collected from 55 countries from December 2019 to April 6. NIBG's Founding Direct and Professor Majumdar said, 'Corona virus can be divided into several types. It can be divided into O, A2, A2a, A3, B, B1 and other types. Currently there are 11 types of this virus. There is also O type in it which is its old type and it was born in Wuhan. ' They stated that the virus thus mutating increases the risk of transmission.
