The coronas are dying every day from infection and fever. People leave the waterless corpses before the funeral is completed to protect themselves from infection. At the same time, bodies are also being shed on the ghats. Half-dead bodies are flowing in the river.
Dogs are biting bodies lying along the ghats. There is a similar situation at Shergarh Ghat in the Auraiya district. Due to the lack of a proper burial and burial system, there is a possibility of infection spreading among the people. On Wednesday, not one but several pyres were seen burning on Shergarh Ghat on river Yamuna.
The fire of some pyre was extinguished, but the bodies were not completely burnt. From the banks of the river to the middle edge, two bodies were seen landing in the water. Excerpts from some dead bodies were seen. A priest present at the ghat said that the family went to burn the body after making arrangements like family members. If due to some reason the bodies are not completely burnt, they are being flown into the river from the ghats.
Dogs are seen grasping dead bodies
At 11:30 in the morning at Shergarh Ghat, one body was seen flowing along the banks of the river and the other body was seen in the middle. Some dead bodies were being bitten by dogs. The ghat was in bad shape due to a bad odor. To avoid illness, people were seen cremating the bodies in a hurry.
Daily funeral of 15 to 20 dead bodies
Around 10 people have died in 10 days in Chiruhuli village of Auraiya Sadar block. The people of the village are very angry with the Health Department. Apart from this, dozens of people have also died in the city. The last rites are being performed mostly at Shergarh Ghat itself. About 15 to 20 dead bodies are being cremated daily.
The situation deteriorated after the panchayat elections
After the panchayat elections, the villages are not able to recover from the continuous deaths. The scene is that the pyre is going on every day. People are sick in most of the villages. Some people run towards the city when the condition is serious and some people die in the village itself. Neither the suspects are being quarantined nor the shelter homes have been built. People exposed to the infected are also not being investigated. In a month, 50 such people have died across the district who had symptoms similar to Corona.
The corona-infected people are being cremated under the protocol. If bodies are being flown without burning on the ghat, the monitoring committee constituted at the village level will be activated for that. Also, someone will be deployed there to keep a watch-
