Coronavirus Updates: Covid cases increased for the second consecutive day in the country, with 2786 new cases in 24 hours; active patients increased

Corona cases have increased for the second consecutive day in the country. The Health Ministry said that 2,786 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the last 24 hours. Let us inform you that earlier on October 12, 2,139 cases of the epidemic were found, whereas before this, on October 11, 1,957 cases were found.

 

Active cases increase

The ministry said that 2,557 people have been cured of the infection in the last 24 hours. However, active cases have increased now. The number of active cases of corona in the country has increased from 26,292 to 26,509.

 

12 people died in 24 hours

The report said that 12 more corona patients have also died in the country. In the state of Kerala alone, 6 people have lost their lives due to corona. So far a total of 5 lakh 28 thousand 847 people have died due to the epidemic in the country.

 

So far, a total of 4 crores 46 lakh 21 thousand 319 cases of coronavirus have been reported in the country. At the same time, a total of 4 crores 40 lakh 65 thousand 963 people have been cured of this.

 

Active cases of the corona - 0.06%

Recovery rate- 98.76%

Daily Positivity Rate- 1.08%

Weekly Positivity Rate- 1.05%

 

More than 219.15 crore vaccines

The vaccination campaign against Corona is going on in the country. So far, more than 102.65 crore people have taken the first dose. More than 94.91 crore second doses have been given. Apart from this, more than 21.57 crore people have got precaution doses. According to the information received on the Cowin app, 5,69,709 vaccines for corona have been applied in a day.
