Coronavirus continues to pose a serious threat to health globally. The rising cases in this new wave are also raising concerns in India. According to the data shared on the Union Health Ministry's COVID dashboard on June 6 (Friday), the total active cases in the country have crossed the 5000 mark. On Thursday, the total active cases of COVID were 4866 which increased to 5364 on Friday. This increase has been seen continuously for the last 15 days.

According to media reports, active cases have gone above 5000 for the first time since March 2023. 498 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 4 people have died of corona, all four are above 65 years of age. The recovery rate is relieving, 764 people have recovered within the last 24 hours.

Health experts say there is no need to panic or worry about the increasing cases of infection. However, patients suffering from difficulty in breathing along with cold should consult a doctor and get tested. Most people are recovering by staying at home, so there is no need to worry too much or rush to the hospital even in case of infection.
