Covid-19: Active cases above 5000 for the first time in two years, doctors said do not make the mistake of taking it lightly

Coronavirus continues to pose a serious threat to health globally. The rising cases in this new wave are also raising concerns in India. According to the data shared on the Union Health Ministry's COVID dashboard on June 6 (Friday), the total active cases in the country have crossed the 5000 mark. On Thursday, the total active cases of COVID were 4866 which increased to 5364 on Friday. This increase has been seen continuously for the last 15 days.

 

According to media reports, active cases have gone above 5000 for the first time since March 2023. 498 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours, while 4 people have died of corona, all four are above 65 years of age. The recovery rate is relieving, 764 people have recovered within the last 24 hours.

Health experts say there is no need to panic or worry about the increasing cases of infection. However, patients suffering from difficulty in breathing along with cold should consult a doctor and get tested. Most people are recovering by staying at home, so there is no need to worry too much or rush to the hospital even in case of infection.

 

Latest Corona Updates

Almost all the states of the country are being affected by this wave of Corona, according to government data, at present only two states - Mizoram and Arunachal Pradesh are such where there is not a single active case. Kerala is still the state with the highest number of cases (1679), followed by Gujarat with 615, West Bengal with 596, and Delhi with 592 active cases of Covid.

 

Uttar Pradesh- After finding patients suffering from the new variant of Corona, the state government has canceled the leave of doctors and employees in the health department. Doctors and employees will be able to take leave only for unavoidable reasons. At the same time, medical superintendents have been instructed to inform the officials before leaving their area.

 

The second case of Corona has come to light in Himachal Pradesh. A female employee working in a private company in Nalagarh has been found corona positive. It is being told that the woman has no travel history. The woman has been isolated. Earlier, one person was found to be a victim of Corona in Sirmaur also.
