According to private weather agency Skymet, light rain is possible at one or two places in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi NCR, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, and West Rajasthan as well as Saurashtra and Kutch in Gujarat.
On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in the Ghat areas and coastal areas of Tamil Nadu. A heavy rain alert has been issued in South Interior Karnataka on the 4th and 5th of August. Heavy rain is expected in Tamil Nadu and Telangana in the next one or two days. Kabir Nagar, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur City, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Bijnor, Amroha, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi and Lalitpur.
