Many areas of Tamil Nadu suffered heavy losses due to Cyclone Michong. Due to this cyclonic storm, waterlogging is still seen on the roads in the Arumbakkam area of Chennai. From houses to shops, water has flooded.

After the damage caused in the state due to Cyclone Michong, Chief Minister MK Stalin appealed for help from the Central Government. He has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding an interim relief fund of Rs 5060 crore for the damage caused by the cyclone. Along with this, he has demanded to send a team from the Center to review the damage caused in the state due to the cyclone. DMK MP TR Baalu himself has given this letter to PM Modi in Delhi.

CM Stalin visited a relief camp in Chennai. He was seen distributing necessary items to the people in this camp. Hotel staff helped a foreign tourist reach his vehicle due to waterlogging in Chennai.

Let us tell you that the severe cyclonic storm Michong, which arose in the Bay of Bengal, hit the coast near Bapatla between Nellore and Kavali in Andhra Pradesh on Tuesday afternoon at a speed of 100 km. Due to its impact, apart from the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, there was heavy rain in Chennai also due to which the low-lying areas were submerged in water. In Tamil Nadu, too, more than 20 flights and about 100 trains have been canceled. However, Chennai Airport has been opened. Due to rain, 21 planes and more than 1,500 passengers were stranded there.
