Sam Curran was found guilty of a Level 1 offense under Article 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct. Curran accepted the charges leveled by the match referee and his match fee was reduced by 50 percent.
IPL issued a release saying, "Punjab Kings captain Sam Curran has been fined 50 percent of his match fee for violating the IPL Code of Conduct in the 37th match of IPL 2024 against Gujarat Titans." Curran admitted a Level 1 offense under Article 2.8 of the IPL Code of Conduct. In case of a Level 1 breach of the Code of Conduct, the match referee's decision is final.
