After giving birth to her daughter, Dua, Deepika Padukone has been away from the acting world. Updates about her upcoming films are released daily. Meanwhile, significant news has emerged, revealing that the Bollywood actress has been dropped from the sequel of a highly acclaimed South Indian film.
The makers shared this information on social media. The surprising thing is that Deepika Padukone played the lead role in the first installment of this film, which grossed over 1000 crore rupees.
Deepika has been dropped from this film.
Deepika Padukone's list of upcoming films is quite long, including the sequel to South Indian superstar Prabhas' blockbuster film Kalki 2898 AD. However, Deepika is no longer a part of it. In fact, Vyjayanthi Films officially announced the actress's exit from Kalki Part 2 on its official Twitter handle, writing:
It is officially announced that Deepika Padukone will not be joining the cast of Kalki 2898 AD Part 2. We have reached this decision after much deliberation. Our long-standing partnership with the film has now ended. We wish her all the best for the future. A movie like Kalki deserves more than just commitment.
This is how Deepika Padukone's exit from the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD has been announced. This isn't the first time Deepika has exited a South Indian film; she previously left director Sandeep Vanga's Ready and Prabhas-starrer Spirit.
Deepika Padukone's Next Film
While Deepika Padukone is constantly losing South Indian films, her upcoming film is also from the South Indian industry. In the near future, Deepika will be seen playing the lead role in Allu Arjun and director Atlee's film AA22 X A6. The actress will soon be leaving for Abu Dhabi for the shooting.
