Delhi Blast: A case has been registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in connection with the terrorist attack that took place near the Red Fort in the capital Delhi on Monday evening. Police have detained four people and are interrogating them.

Nine people have been confirmed dead in the attack, while 20 others were injured. The blast occurred in a car with the number (HR26CE7674). The surrounding area and several vehicles were also affected.

DCP North told the media that Delhi Police has registered a case under the UAPA and the Explosives Act in the Red Fort blast case. The police are investigating every aspect thoroughly.

Meanwhile, security is tight at Lok Nayak Hospital. The main emergency gate has been closed. The injured were admitted to this hospital.

The blast occurred at 6:52 pm on Monday.

This is the first blast in the national capital after 14 years. Previously, in 2011, an explosion occurred near the High Court gate.

There is a fear of a terrorist attack.

The intensity of the blast was so great that the sound was heard four kilometers away.

The i-20 car with the Haryana registration number that exploded had been sold several times.

Car parts were scattered about 250 meters from the scene.

The glass of several shops towards Chandni Chowk, opposite the Red Fort, was shattered.

The intensity of the blast and the nature of the debris indicate that the explosive was of high intensity.

RDX may have been used, not a simple fuel leak.
