Delhi: Kejriwal said - ready to deal with Omicron, the capacity of oxygen beds is being increased to 63 thousand

Amidst growing apprehensions about Omicron, the new variant of Coronavirus, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has said that it is expected that this variant of Corona does not come to Delhi. But we are making full preparations to deal with it, he said.

 

 

He informed that the capacity of oxygen beds in the national capital is being increased to about 63,000 beds. During the second wave, we could not store oxygen but now we have 442 MT capacity. On the vaccination of Corona, he said that 97 percent of the citizens of Delhi have taken the first dose of Corona while 57 percent of the citizens have taken the second dose. He appealed to the people who have not yet got the corona vaccine, to get the vaccine done as soon as possible.

 

 

CM Kejriwal said, "I held a meeting with the officials today. We have to be prepared like a responsible government. As far as beds are concerned, we have prepared 30,000 oxygen beds and about 10,000 of these are ICU beds.

 

There will be 17 thousand ICU beds by February

He informed that 6,800 beds of ICU are being constructed. They will be ready by February. So we will soon have 17,000 beds. He told that we are preparing to construct 100 oxygen beds in each corporation ward on two weeks' notice. In this way, 27,000 wards can be created in a very short time.

 

Ordered two months buffer stock of Corona medicine

On the medicine of corona, he said, "32 types of medicines are needed in the treatment of corona. The order has been placed for two months buffer stock of these medicines so that there is no shortage of medicines. . Additional storage capacity of 442 MT has been prepared. PSA Plants set up - Delhi generates 121 MT of Oxygen.
