Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said on Friday that we had received complaints about increasing fees in schools and charging various types of charges including transport. Now the government has decided that any school, whether built on private or government land, will only charge tuition fees till the lockdown opens. Earlier, the Jharkhand government had said that if schools asked for fees, they would be processed. While the Maharashtra government has said that parents can complain if schools ask for fees during lockdown.
Here, the Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE also said that school fees should not increase during the lockdown. CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi has written a letter to the Chief Secretaries of States and Union Territories in this regard. In this, he has asked to investigate the cases related to increase in teachers 'salary and students' school fees.
Online class will not be denied if fees are not paid
Here, Delhi's Education Minister Sisodia said - many people were complaining that when the children are not going to school in lockdown then how can the school charge the transport charge. No private school will increase the fees arbitrarily nor will it charge any annual fee or any other charges. As of May 3, there is a lockdown, so schools will be able to charge tuition fees every month. If a child does not pay the fees, he will not be denied the online class.
