new Delhi. The Delhi government announced relief for parents to pay school fees amid the Corona crisis and lockdown. Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said on Friday that we had received complaints about increasing fees in schools and charging various types of charges including transport. Now the government has decided that any school, whether built on private or government land, will only charge tuition fees till the lockdown opens. Earlier, the Jharkhand government had said that if schools asked for fees, they would be processed. While the Maharashtra government has said that parents can complain if schools ask for fees during lockdown.

Here, the Central Board of Secondary Education i.e. CBSE also said that school fees should not increase during the lockdown. CBSE Secretary Anurag Tripathi has written a letter to the Chief Secretaries of States and Union Territories in this regard. In this, he has asked to investigate the cases related to increase in teachers 'salary and students' school fees.

Online class will not be denied if fees are not paid

Here, Delhi's Education Minister Sisodia said - many people were complaining that when the children are not going to school in lockdown then how can the school charge the transport charge. No private school will increase the fees arbitrarily nor will it charge any annual fee or any other charges. As of May 3, there is a lockdown, so schools will be able to charge tuition fees every month. If a child does not pay the fees, he will not be denied the online class.

Distribute salary to the entire staff, including school contract workers

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has appealed to the people of Delhi in the time of Corona crisis to help the needy and to give advance salary to the workers. In such a situation, the government has now asked all the schools in Delhi to distribute salary on time to all the staff in the midst of Corona crisis. Even if they are working on the contract itself. If the school management is short of funds, then it should take help of its parent organization.

Jharkhand government told private schools - do not charge fees during lockdown

Jharkhand Education Minister Jagannath Mahato said recently that in view of the lockdown, it has appealed to waive school fees on the basis of morality, so that the parents get relief. We will not let the schools run Hitlership. If schools ask for fees, then action will be taken on them.

Maharashtra: Parents will be able to complain if schools ask for fees

Maharashtra's School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad issued a statement on Friday saying - Parents can complain if schools ask for fees during lockdown. The state government had issued an order on March 30 that schools and all educational institutions should not demand fees during the lockdown. They can ask for fees after the lockdown is lifted. Minister Gaikwad also said that I had received complaints that even after the lockdown till May 3, the parents are being pressured to pay fees.
