Delhi Weather Update: The scorching heat continues to wreak havoc in Delhi-NCR. Meanwhile, there is the hope of respite from the fire raining from the sky on Thursday. Apart from the forecast of rain with the strong wind of the Meteorological Department, the heat remained hot on Wednesday as well. It was sunny all day long. However, there was some decrease in the maximum temperature on Wednesday.
The Meteorological Department has now predicted the formation of thunderclouds and light rain on Thursday. Compared to the last few days, the day temperature on Wednesday was a bit lower. For three days the maximum temperature was running above 40 degrees.

Earlier on Wednesday, it was one notch above normal at 38.2 degree Celsius, while the minimum was recorded at 23.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal. The Meteorological Department has forecast that it will be cloudy on Thursday. Light rain is possible. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for Thursday.
'moderate' to 'poor' air quality
The air quality of Delhi-NCR remained in the 'moderate' to 'poor' category on Wednesday. According to the air quality bulletin released by CPCB, the air quality index of Delhi was recorded at 236, Faridabad 184, Ghaziabad 237, Greater Noida 277, Gurugram 282, and Noida 230.
