Ranveer Singh’s film Dhurandhar began streaming on the OTT platform Netflix following its theatrical release, and it continues to trend in the Top 10 list to this day. If you are under the impression that Dhurandhar 2 is also set to stream on Netflix, let us clarify that this will not be the case.

Indeed, while Dhurandhar did arrive on Netflix, the filmmakers have a completely different strategy in mind for Dhurandhar 2. The producers have finalized a deal with a different OTT platform—and for a staggering sum of ₹150 crore.

Which OTT Platform Will Host Dhurandhar 2?

Even prior to the release of Dhurandhar 2, there was speculation that the film would not land on Netflix, as the filmmakers were reportedly planning to sell the sequel for double the price. Now, a recent report claims that the producers of Dhurandhar 2 have struck a deal with Jio Hotstar for ₹150 crore. This means that the second installment will now stream exclusively on Jio Hotstar.

When Will Dhurandhar 2 Arrive on OTT?

As for when Dhurandhar: The Revenge (Part 2) will make the transition from the big screen to an OTT platform, it is worth noting that Ranveer Singh’s film is currently still running in theaters. Released on March 19, the film continues to rake in crores even a month after its debut. The film’s domestic earnings have already crossed the ₹1,115 crore mark, while its worldwide collection is fast approaching the ₹1,800 crore milestone.

Given this performance, it is expected that the film will remain in theaters through the month of April. There are currently no updates regarding whether it will continue to dominate the box office in May or June. However, reports suggest that the film could begin streaming on Jio Hotstar either in late May or during the early weeks of June.
